Great Show on Stage - BUT...
The show on stage was fantastic - HOWEVER...we were surrounded by individuals who could not resist fiddling with their phones or chatting incessantly!
One lady to my left had her phone out, (which appeared to be on the brightest setting imaginable) constantly scrolling through emails, browsing Facebook, and so on. DURING THE SHOW! This occurred following the announcement requesting that everyone turn off their phones for the benefit of others. Her screen was glaring directly into my eyes, illuminating the surrounding area. I had to request politely for her to switch off her phone, as the brightness was directly in my line of sight. On my right, another woman was (seriously) only looking at cat pictures. Once again, this was during the live performance on stage! Why did they even bother purchasing tickets if they intended to sit in the dark and engage with their phones??
Behind us, a group of people just would not be quiet. They were not whispering, singing along, or discussing the show - they were simply chattering about their day, their work, or anything else on their minds. Did I mention "chattering"? They were actually YELLING, trying to outdo the CONCERT TAKING PLACE ON STAGE! I lost track of how many times I (and others) asked them to keep it down. Individuals seated 2 and 3 rows ahead of me were turning around to identify the source of the loud conversation. It was one of the most impolite crowds I have ever encountered at a concert, and it completely spoiled the evening for me. If I had been able to locate a security guard, I would have requested that they intervene, but there was no one in sight.
